Choosing the Right Facial Skin Care Product - Our Dedicated Guide

With all the advertisements out there, it's hard to know what to look for in the right facial skin care product. Furthermore, it's getting harder to detect what many big name products put in their creams and lotions that may harm you. Fortunately, I'm here to talk about both.
It may seem hard to believe that some skin care products have destructive ingredients in them. Many have asked me why these products continue to sell so well if they're so bad for you. My main answer to this is simple ignorance.
The truth of the matter is that it's generally better to use no facial skin care product at all than it is to put harmful products on your face. Here are a few substances to look out for when you read the ingredients on the back of the box.
Parabens are preservatives commonly used in high profile skin care products. The reason this chemical is so popular is because it extends the shelf life of products. This makes it so customers can buy the products for longer, thus increasing profit. However, what many don't know is that this substance actually causes cancer.
Fragrances are a popular addition to any facial skin care product. However, these are not all natural fragrances. The chemicals used to make you smell like strawberries or cucumbers can actually cause skin irritations, redness, itching, and trigger allergies.
Alcohols like ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and SD alcohol are known to cause inflammation and skin dryness, a condition that is already rather prominent as you reach middle age. Don't irritate it further by using products with these ingredients in them.
Mineral oil is one of the worst ingredients on the market today. It is a cheap alternative to all natural ingredients. While "mineral" oil may sound like it's healthy and beneficial, it actually clogs pores and causes acne breakouts. It also disrupts natural oil production and makes it difficult for the skin to rid itself of harmful toxins.
These are just a few of the ingredients you should definitely avoid. You'll find information on those and more on my website.
Now, what are some ingredients to look for in a high quality skin care product?
The ones I use personally are the ones that are scientifically proven to increase production levels of collagen and elastin, two crucial skin proteins that promote smooth, firm, youthful skin. Teenagers have these proteins in abundance, but as we age, our bodies make less of these proteins, which is what causes wrinkles, sagging, age spots, and other signs of aging.
Whether you're young or middle aged, using all natural anti-aging products can work wonders in reducing and preventing signs of aging. One of these ingredients include Cynergy TK, a substance from New Zealand that is clinically proven to boost levels of collagen and elastin, thus reducing wrinkles and fading age spots. Another is phytessence wakame, an extract from Japanese sea kelp. This helps in the production of skin proteins as it keeps your skin soft and smooth. It can also help prevent sunburn, skin dryness, and is a natural soothing agent for inflammation.
